Anne Schmidt

was born on 15.06.1984 in Schwedt/Oder. Since her graduation at the Berlin Dance Academy Balance 1 in 2004 she has been a member of the wee dance company. Numerous performances led her not only throughout Germany but also to Portugal, Israel, Zimbabwe, Poland, Croatia, Russia and USA and to the „Holland Dance Festival“. Her first regular employment was at the City Theatre Hildesheim under Carlos Matos. Since that company was terminated she has returned to working as a freelancer, amongst others with Felix Landerer, the Israeli dededance, Benvindo Fonseca and Jean Renshaw. In 2007 Henrik Kaalund created for her the Solo „iDentity dFragments“, which won her 2nd prize for dancing at the 12th „Internationalen Tanz - Theater - Solo Festival“ in Stuttgart.
