Chantal Maillard



Together with Spanish poetess Chantal Maillard the wee dance company created "Q", a dance piece and a reading of a poem, commissioned by the Literature Workshop Berlin in 2005. (A production of phase7 performing.arts).

Chantal Maillard was born in 1951 in Brussels; in 1963 she moved to Malaga. Today she lives there and in Bercelona. She is a professor for aesthetics, art history and oriental philosophy.

She writes, among other things, for the newspapers "ABC" und "El País". Her literary work includes "Poemas a mi muerte" (1994), "Hainuwele" (1990), "Conjuros" (2001) and "Lógica borrosa" (2002). For "Matar a Platón" she recieved in 2004 the Premio Nacional de Poesía.
