Harrison Claxton

Harrison Claxton joined the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater in Görlitz in August 2019 and provides exciting performances as part of the dance company.

Harrison received his dance training at the Nothern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds and the London Contemporary Dance School. He graduated from the latter with distinction. He has participated with Matsena Performance Theatre as a dancer in "Together, not the same," among others. This piece was performed at Sadler's Wells Theater in London - the leading stage for ballet and contemporary dance in London.

In the summer of 2020, Harrison was a performer in the short film "Are you numb yet?" (Are you numb yet?). This short film is also one of the projects of Matsena Performance Theatre (artistically directed by brothers Anthony and Kel Matsena) and won the "Infallible Award" at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh. The film is very engaged with the very current problems of the black population in the world.
