Naomi Gibson
Since August 2017, Naomi Gibson has been a permanent member of the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau/wee dance company.
Naomi was born in Brussels and grew up there as the daughter of an American and a Brit. In 2015 she received her bachelor's degree in contemporary dance and dance theater at the University of the Arts "Fontys" in Tilburg, the Netherlands. Already in 2013 Naomi worked as an intern for the famous choreographer Jan Marten, and in 2014 to 2018 Touneen took her around the world with the world famous dance piece "The Dog Days are Over" by Jan Marten. Today, Naomi continues to work with Jan Marten in addition to her work at the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater.
After several years as a dancer in the dance company at the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater, she has also been working as a rehearsal director and assistant to the choreographers at the house since the 2019/2020 season.
