Shannon Leypoldt
Shannon Leypoldt is a dance artist, dance educator and sports massage therapist in Berlin. She is a native of the United States and a member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe. Shannon received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine and studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance under the direction of Summer Lee Rhatigan. Shannon has worked with the Staatsoper Unter Den Linden, Dorky Park, Itinerant Dance Ensemble, and KDV Dance Ensemble, among others. She has danced choreographies by Shlomi Bitton, Hillel Kogan, Maxine Doyle, Lisi Estarás, Constanza Macras, Kiani Del Valle, and Sommer Ulrickson.
From September 2014 to July 2016 Shannon was a permanent member of the wee dance company of the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau, since September 2016 she can be seen repeatedly as a guest of the dance company on the stages of the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau, most recently in "Evita" and soon again in "Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny".
