The dance evening "Venus" comprises 3 short pieces choreographed by 4 artists: "Venus" brings a breath of fresh air with exotic new fragrances from far away: the three-part dance evening in which Adi Salant, Mami Kawabata, Noa Zuk and Ohad Fishof present three creations from dance cultures that are surprisingly different from the German dance theater tradition with which we are familiar. These three dance pieces delight us with completely unfamiliar body images and movement compositions, with different ways of dealing with sound and stage space, and with the personal signatures and movement languages of our guest choreographers, the "palate of our eyes".

Adi Salant, for 17 years the world renowned choreographer Ohad Naharin's right hand at Batsheva Dance Company, brings her own personal expression to the unique and fascinating understanding of body and movement that has made this ensemble captivating and distinctive in the world of dance.

Noa Zuk, also a long-time member of the same dance company, and her lifelong partner Ohad Fishof, whose arrival in the dance world unusually has its roots in the alternative Israeli rock music scene, work together in a unique symbiosis of musical and physical composition.

And last but not least, Mami Kawabata, a long-time member of our dance company at the GHT, brings us a touch of Far Eastern contemplation of all things from our own city in a tribute to Görlitz through dance and body imagery.
